Located in hall 3a, the trade-exclusive Autosport Engineering Show offers registrants the opportunity to network with like minded individuals and discover the latest industry innovations as well as the opportunity to collaborate with new businesses. Autosport International celebrated their Motorsport success with the 30th anniversary between January 9 - 12! With over 60% of trade visitors attending to keep up with what is happening in motorsport, there is a lot more exciting entities to cover across the exclusive "trade-only" Thursday and Friday.
Saturday and Sunday opened the doors to the public, where visitors indulged upon the most iconic cars of motorsport on display including racing celebrities taking the stage to discuss and share fascinating, unique stories about their career highlights! Not only that but professional drivers showcased what pedal to the metal really means while cars backflipped in the Live Action Arena. It is THE place for motorsport fans and professionals to get together and express mutual interests throughout the show and be part of a unified family.
Autosport International is proudly part of the Motorsport Network, opening the ASI platform to the entire motorsport community. Connecting suppliers and buyers is at the core of the Autosport International ethos. The event website grants access to connect and link 365 days of the year. Suppliers can publish news, content, press releases and products to their profiles whilst buyers have a simple, direct channel for enquiries and access to the latest industry news.
Introduction
Held at the NEC, Birmingham since January 1991, Autosport International celebrated its 30th anniversary in 2021. This annual pre-season event covers all areas of motorsport, with both professional and grass roots, from karting right up to Formula One. Featuring the very latest in motorsport, automotive and performance engineering technology, alongside cars, stars and exhibitors from every level of motor racing.
This exclusive event uniquely caters for the industry and motorsport fans alike.
Trade days are strictly reserved for trade buyers, suppliers and industry professionals to connect, network, trade and talk business.
New for the 2020 show was The Autosport Business Forum. A panel of industry thought leaders discussed how the past technological advances pushed the industry to be what it is today, how present day F1 technology plays part in our everyday lives and how innovative ideas and minds will shape the future of motorsport. Topics included; Innovation & Optimisation in Motorsport, Electrification, Future of Tuning, Composite Technology in Motorsport and Future of Manufacturing.
The annual Motorsport Leaders Business Forum brought together the most influential leaders from across motorsport for a day of knowledge-sharing at Autosport International, networking and high-level talks delving deep into the theme for 2021, “Motorsport and purpose”. Keynote speakers such as; Right Honorable Lord Hain, former Secretary of State, UK Government was discussing the question "Should governments care about motorsport?". James Taylor, Head of Business Affairs and Legal Director for Extreme E, Nathalie McGloin Chair FIA Disabilities Commission & Accessibility and Yath Gangakumaran, Director of Strategy and Business Development for F1 also took the stage by discussing 'Is motorsport credible as a platform for good causes' for the Motorsport business leaders forum.
Not only does Autosport International host forums that covers cruical topics and questions within Motorsport and the industry, but also the Product Showcase Awards which is a platform for companies to display their latest innovations. Exhibitors submit their products to an expert panel of judges, specializing in engineering. With 9 categories and over 50 entrants in 2020, it's known as an innovation hub and allows visitors to see what is on the industry horizon.
Public days: The Autosport International doors opened for motorsport enthusiasts of all ages to see the fastest cars, biggest stars and adrenaline-spiking live action.
Star drivers including Charles Leclerc, Lando Norris, Colin Turkingdon and more have made a pitstop on the Autosport Stage, allowing members of the public to ask questions, get autographs and watch on as unanswered questions from the last F1 season are tackled head-on.
With over 1,000 glistening motors on display, everyone has the chance to get behind the wheel in the UK’s largest e-sports fan village and discover petrolhead heaven at the Performance & Tuning Car Show, where industry leaders such as 'Liberty Walk' showcase their latest modifications.
